Home / The Bilingual, Binational Primary School / A shading canopy over the school lawn [15]

The excitement last June was the school's new synthetic lawn, generously provided by a donor in England. The lawn became the most popular play area during school breaks. But we noticed that the children gathered mainly in the scant shady areas where there were trees. In order to ensure full (and healthy) use of the lawn, we approached the British Friends of NS/WAS approached the donor again to provide shading. She was happy to comply, and the shading was completed by the end of December. In the winter months, the canopy will remain folded.
