Home / The Pluralistic Spiritual Community Center / Holiday Celebration at the PSCC, December 2011 35
On December 29th, the village gathered at the spiritual center in a celebration for the holiday. The celebration of Chanukah, the New Year and the Hijra New Year
Firstly children from the village light 8 candles against racism. When each candle was light, the children read wishes. Both Arabs and Jews read the wishes in both Arabic and Hebrew. This candle lighting is reminiscent of Tag Meir which is an opposition to Tag Meichia which is the racist price tag movement that has been acting in revenge of any action taken against settlements in the West Bank. They then decorated a tree for Christmas for hope and brotherhood.
A critical play named “I Have a Dream” was performed by Shab A’bid and Hassan Taha. Famous guitarist and singer song writer David Broza also performed. His grandparents were inhabitants of the village, and he is a friend of the village.
