In the early morning of September 1, 2020, a fire severely damaged the buildings of the School for Peace. Here we are gathering some pictures of the U shaped quadrangle. The oldest building of the current site of the School for Peace was brought from Kibbutz Mishmar David in the 1970s. It was what is known in Israel as a "Swedish hut" (צריף שוודי). It was originally used as a multipurpose building; the main central building of the village, seating also the admin offices. In 1984, another two buildings were assembled from prefabricated building materials salvaged from Kfar Vradim. The buildings were placed at right angles with the first building creating an interior courtyard. The two bulidings were used as classrooms/meeting rooms of the School for Peace. Around 2000, the old wooden building was replaced with a newer wooden structure that preserved something of the original's character. A roof was added for the courtyard. The whole block was used by the School for Peace and the village admin offices moved to their present location.
